About Me
Here is a word scramble of things that inspire me creatively:Medieval (queer) history, androids, gender/sexuality/queerness, mythology, anthropology, classic children's literature, magical beasts, robots, transhumanity, sentience and sapience, gender-expanisveness, decolonial futures, climate justice, astronomy, the deep sea
My Favorite Books
I keep more expansive lists of my favorite reads in a few different places: my "favorites" and "5-star reads" lists on The Story Graph, and my yearly top 10 roundups that I post on my Instagram and shelve on my other Neocities site, "Asterion's Labrynth." Click the friends below to check out those books.
Speculative Fiction in Translation
I'm very interested in speculative fiction in translation, but it can be difficult to find - see Nat Harrington's Misplaced in Translation blog. Doesn't it just fill you with a sort of existential horror that worlds of fiction are being written that you will never know about or be able to access? Yeah. Well, a great resource for finding translated reads is Speculative Fiction in Translation, a blog run by Rachel Cordasco. I truly feel that everyone (speaking from a US American persective) should be reading internationally! My relatively new fervor for this was roused when I read Djuna's Counterweight.

Delightful Things
Do you want to know about the coolest thing in the world? It's Nautilus Live, an organization that explores the deep sea and that livestreams their ROV dives, with live commentary from the scientists. You can tune in when they dive and watch them explore unseen seamounts and volcanic feature and watch all of the life that goes on down there.
